Some samples are grouped by topic regardless of their sequence in the book.
The number in the lower right corner of the flash card is the reference number
used in the Director's Manual.

1. Staff - coordinates with introduction to the staff, clefs, and grand staff (Skill #1)

2. Lines and spaces - shows notes on lines, notes on spaces,
                                numbering of lines and spaces and how
                                pitch is related to the direction of notes (Skill #1)

3. Note values - whole note, half note, quarter note, dotted half note
                          (Skills #1, #2, #3, #4)

4. Rests - difference between whole rest and half rest (Skill #2)
                also shows a quarter res (Skill #3)

5. Key signature - one flat shown on treble clef, bass clef, (Skill #2)

6. Key signature - 2 sharps (Skill #4)

7. Dynamics - forte, piano, mezzo piano, crescendo (Skill #4)

8. Time signature - introduced in Skill #4
